Chewton Pool in community management

GREAT NEWS

We have been informed by the Hon Ryan Smith, Minister for Environment and Climate Change, that Chewton Pool Inc. has been approved to become the manager of Chewton Pool.

This is for a three year period which coincides with the operational funding support from the Mount Alexander Shire Council.

The hard work now begins to prepare for the 2011-12 summer season.

What can you do to help (I hear you say)?

– train as a volunteer or casual worker at the pool. Positions for kiosk attendants, lifesavers and pool operators are available. You need to undertake training, which is supplied through accredited training bodies. Training for those selected is free.

If you pledged labour, materials or equipment towards repair work, now is the time to get organised. The facilities team is scheduling works so make contact if you haven’t already been contacted.

Come along to the fundraising events – they are great value and fun.

Buy your season ticket – time to put your money where your community is.

If you are unsure how you can help, contact us and we will match you up with tasks to suit you.

THANK YOU TO ALL FOR YOUR STAUNCH SUPPORT
