Pool abuzz with busy bees

Getting prepared for this swim season reminds me of the bees feeding on the broccoli flowers in the veggie patch. Industrious teams are working at the pool to prepare the facility. Scum gutter repairs are underway and new reticulation is being installed. Once completed, a new concourse around the pools will be constructed. The kiosk is being repainted as are the seats.

David Anderson is the plumber working without charge on the Chewton Pool. He deserves a season ticket and a huge vote of thanks! Tony Bell is excavating-  digging right in there (literally) to help. Ian McMillan (Locka’s Locations) is making sure we work safe at the pool. Many thanks Locka!

There are still items needed to get the pool open for season 2011. Businesses can make a real difference by offering sponsorship. Have a look at our wishlist to see what donations are required.

A pool coordinator has been appointed. Judith Lanigan is already busy organizing training for staff and volunteers and preparing for our grand opening.

Pool Opening in December

The Grand Opening is on Saturday 3rd December. Come and join the celebrations. Gates open at 10.30. Official speeches by our local Member at 11.00am. Great fun for families! Get in the swim…it’s going to be a great event. Plenty of surprises planned! Season tickets are already available.
