Although the pool is closed for the winter – to reopen in December – there is still a lot of activity going on. Fundraising is our major focus during this time and below you can see what there is to look forward to over the coming months:
WOOD RAFFLE: a trailer load of wood donated by Matt Hough of Elphinstone Firewood Supplies is to be raffled this month. Tickets available from Wesley Hill Market on Sat.21st April, and then on Fri.27th April from outside the Newsagents in Mostyn St, Castlemaine , along with a SAUSAGE SIZZLE. Tickets will be drawn on Sat.27th April at the end of the morning and prize delivered to the winner by arrangement.
QUILT RAFFLE: 1st Prize: a stunning double-bed size patchwork quilt made by Janine Clarke valued at $400. 2nd Prize: Garden Metal Art valued at $75.00 donated by Elaine Appleton. 3rd Prize: 2 bottles local wine donated by Harcourt Valley Winery – value $50.00. Tickets available and Quilt displayed at the Chewton Post Office from 1st May. Raffle will be drawn on 1st June at the Stan Munro Concert in Chewton (see below).
STAN MUNRO CONCERT also featuring TRACEY CANDY on June 1st at Chewton Senior Citizens Hall. Limited tickets will be available so when ticket sales start in May make sure you get in early. Posters will be displayed around town and more details will be available on this site soon.
CHEWTON POOL ART AUCTION will take place again this coming November. Arrangements are still being negotiated and more details will be posted later in the year.
All of these fundraising activities take a lot of work so if you have the time and enthusiasm we would very much welcome more volunteers to help out – especially selling raffle tickets. Contact Jenny on our email firstname.lastname@example.org if you can assist in any way.
