Cameo – Anne Hand

Anne Hand was one of the leading Glass Artists in Australia.  After finishing college with high distinctions Anne’s career in glass spanned fifteen years, working in many glass studios ranging from Julio Santos, Brian Hirst, Nick Mount, Richard Morrell and the Meat Market Craft Centre.  Anne also spent many years assisting Michael Hook in the setting up of his studio in Melbourne.

Anne exhibited widely throughout Australia and her works can be found in private and public collections, both here and overseas.

Anne died in 1996 but left behind an exquisite collection of unique articles – each piece portraying her zest for life.

“To hold a piece of Anne’s glass in your hands is to experience the essence of life.”
