To escape the big city Marieanne bought and renovated a miners cottage in Castlemaine, and with her love of gardening she established a cottage garden. She is a member of the Anglican Church, Golf Club, View Club-Gardening Club, U3A, Art Gallery, and the National Trust. Marieanne established a picture framing business and met and worked with many local artists. She has also taught at Continuing Education and at Tarrengower and Loddon Prisons.
The mediums in which Marieanne works are scraffiti, pen and ink, framed collectables and crayons.
Her works have been shown in the Castlemaine State Festival, Strathfieldsaye Annual Exhibition, and in Sutton Grange, Maldon, Kangaroo Flat, Bridgewater, Daylesford, Essendon, Bendigo and a number of local galleries.
